Festivity is still in the air ✨. The green light has been given by the government for the New Year’s party!
Are you all ready? New year’s party can go wild because everyone waits for this night for the whole year. Since the dress code is always- dress to impress, but it’s never just the dress, right? The whole look matters. Speaking of which…makeup is an important part for most people especially for New Year’s parties.
Glitter eye look or smokey eyes, you can slay all of them but don’t forget to treat your skin with a good cleanup, after all your skin happily accepted all those layers of glitters and makeup, right? That alcohol and unremoved overnight makeup can cause harm to your skin.
1. Remove all your makeup
After that amazing New Year’s party don’t forget to remove your makeup. I know you might feel very tired and lazy, but gather yourself up or you might regret it the next morning.
Firstly, use an alcohol-free gentle makeup remover as alcohol can irritate your skin and can even make it dry. Oil-based makeup removers are a good choice for keeping the skin from getting dry.
2. Use a cleanser
You must be wondering if we have already used makeup remover then why use a cleanser? Here’s your answer…
Sometimes makeup remover is not enough to deep clean the dirt and oil from your skin, here a cleanser comes into action. Cleansers are meant to remove all the leftover makeup thoroughly from our skin. Use a gentle creamy cleanser so that it removes all the grime with a soft touch.
3. Lip scrub
Use a gentle lip scrub and remember to take that party lipstick💄 off! Often, people don’t give enough credit to lip care routine and practice. Unattended lips can lead to dryness and flakiness in your lips (and you know how it is to apply lipstick when your lips are utterly dry😔). Also, don’t forget to apply a subtle lip balm to your lips, to keep them happy and soft.
4. Serum
The next step is applying a suitable night serum to your skin. Using a serum is a good night skin practice. It penetrates into your skin for hydration and replenishes your skin with active ingredients. They are great for removing wrinkles and keeping your skin firm and smooth too.
Please note that although serum works to hydrate your skin, it cannot replace a moisturizer as the serum is lightweight, hence does not provide enough moisture to the skin.
5. Night crème/ moisturizer
The last step to your skincare is the application of a night crème or moisturizer. Since throughout the night your skin tends to get dry, this essential step can help provide proper moisture to your skin.
