Understand your skin better!
In today’s world of too many adverts and brands, we all envy pretty/handsome models and Instagram influencers who are always in their best look! They always keep us glued to those digital screens for hours! Don’t they?
Question yourself- What do you desire when you look at them? Fitness, diet, skincare, amazing wardrobes or makeup?
Well, well..I know you desire everything. Because so do I 😀 We all want to look smart and presentable. For that, it is very important to take care of our skin first, which means a good skincare routine. Our face is the main attraction and first noticeable aspect of our body!
P.S. Do you know that just a pretty smile and confident eye contact can do magic for you!
A lot of products and treatments are available in the market. When I go to buy a product for myself, I get confused between a plethora of products and brands, which by the way is pretty obvious! Relating to it? Shopping for yourself is not an easy task! If I must say, one should be very choosy in selecting a product. After all, it is going to go into our skin, as a part of our skincare routine.
Thumb rule- Always research before shopping. So, never skip researching before adding anything into the cart! A good product will get your skin glowing/ healed. However, a bad product can do just the opposite!
The upside is that everyone is getting quite alarmed by the fact that how crucial it is to take care of their skin! First, a skin routine is a must!
But, first, let me stop you there..to follow a good skin routine, one must understand their skin. Do you know what is your skin type?
If the answer to that is a yes, then bravo to you! But if you do not understand your skin type, then keep reading my friend!
(It’s better to understand your skin first and then get the suited products, right?)
SKIN TYPES
Knowing your skin type is the very first step towards nourishment and selfcare.
1. Combination Skin
As the name says, this skin type is a combination of oily and normal skin. The T Zone areas will remain oily i.e. forehead and nose areas, while cheeks and chin remain from normal to dry. This type of skin is more prone to blemishes and pimples. Hence, special care is required for both the faces of the skin.
2. Normal Skin
If your skin is balanced, then you can say that you have normal skin (or you are very lucky p). The complexion is radiant with no severe sensitivity. Less pore visibility. But hey, still need a good skin routine is recommended to make the best out of your gifted skin type.
3. Dry Skin
Dryness and flakiness in the skin indicate that the person has dry skin. This also means that the skin produces less sebum than normal skin. People with dry skin types might bear rough and dull complexion with mild red patches and more visible lines.
4. Blemished Skin
This skin type is very sensitive and produces more sebum than necessary, resulting in more breakouts in the form of pimples, acne, blackheads etc. Antibacterial cleansing is recommended to restore the skin’s balance.
